Taylor Container Forklift

Taylor Container Forklift

Since 1976, Taylor Machine Works has manufactured, engineered and marketed empty container handlers. The "Big Red" line of empty handlers reflects the experience and knowledge gained during those years. The Taylor empty handlers are called the "All American" models since they are manufactured and engineered within the USA. Taylor is consistently on the cutting edge of industrial technology. The company strives to maintain their commitment of manufacturing and designing the best and most productive, most reliable container handling machines around, anywhere in the globe.

The company's empty container handlers are equipped with a wide range of attachments and masts so as to better meet your particular requirements. The following is a list of units with their standard mast and attachment.

In order to pick 20 feet throughout 53 feet empty reefer containers and empty ISO standard containers, the TECDS-150H Attachment is able to expand. Any containers measuring more than 40 feet must have standard 40 feet ISO pickup points. The attachment has 4 corner twist-locks as well, electrical signal lights inside the cab, hydraulic slewing and 2 work lights.

The ELME attachment is designed to handle 2 20 foot or 40 foot empty ISO standard containers simultaneously. This simultaneous ability could be carried out with the containers stacked on top of each other. As well, this type of attachment is offered with 4 horizontal twist-locks which insert into the side apertures of the upper containers bottom corner castings and the lower container's top corner castings. The extremely specialized design of the twist-locks allows block stacking to be accomplished.

Drive Train
Every model of the Taylor container forklifts utilizes a Tier Compliant Cummins electronic turbocharged, charged air to air or charged air after-cooled diesel engine. Several of the basic engine features comprise transmission/engine protection, electronic maintenance and diagnostic monitor, water/fuel separator, improved fuel economy and less overall emissions. In addition, the available transmission for all 3 models is a 3-speed, fully reversing, non-modulated, power-shift transmission. It is offered complete with inching capacity and remote shift control.

These particular models have been designed specifically to work in extreme climate in the harshest environments in the world. These units can function with ease through thick mud, deep snow and rough terrain. Having the ability to rely on a dependable machinery when you are working in lousy weather conditions and in the middle of nowhere is definitely an essential investment for your business.
