Clark Counterbalance Forklifts
A kind of machinery in the material handling business which could be utilized to lift and transport loads from one place to another is known as a forklift. Each part of a forklift has a particular function. Different components can be utilized to transport the load horizontally or vertically.
The components used to lower and lift the load is called the forklift mast. There are different kinds of masts for lifting loads to different heights: triplex, quad, simplex and duplex.
There are four different ways you could power a forklift: electric, gas, propane and diesel. The battery is located within the cab under the seat. The propane tank is situated on the back of the truck. The fuel tank on gas and diesel forklifts is underneath the back of the truck.
Positioned within the center of the truck is the forklift cab. This is where the operator sits and accesses all the controls and informational gauges. The gas pedal, steering wheel, lifting controls, tilting controls and brake are all situated within the cab.
Carrying all the largest forklift components is the truck frame. This consists of the counterweights situated at the back that prevents the truck from tipping over when loaded. The frame includes the overhead guard which protects the operator. The undercarriage holds the wheels, driveshaft and axles.
