Most mishaps are attributed to workers who are not trained. Employers are responsible for making sure that all employees who are utilizing the forklift are correctly trained in risks and safety. Never let anyone on a forklift who isn't trained to operate the forklift. Your business should develop and post in a place which is visible all forklift safety measures.

Staff must have a positive attitude when they go through training, rather than doing it just because they are required to. You as the employer must help staff understand the importance of correct training. Let them know that they could kill or injure not only themselves, but other individuals, if they make mistakes. It is up to you to make certain that your employees go through training seriously.
