California top

California State has a large population and a strong economy. This state of the United States stretches from the Pacific Shoreline east to the Sierra Nevada mountains and south to the Mojave Desert. Sacramento is the state capital. The state of California is the country's most populated state and the third-biggest in terms of land area. Only the states of Texas and Alaska are bigger. The economy is so robust that if California were a country, it will be the 8th-largest economy in the world. Among the nation's fifty most populated cities, eight are situated here: San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, Sacramento, Fresno, Oakland and Long Beach.

California is situated along the Pacific Ring of Fire. Approximately 37,000 earthquakes are recorded here yearly. The diverse environment includes the highest point in the contiguous USA, Mount Whitney, and the lowest point, Death Valley. The long shoreline is exceeded in length only by the coastlines of Florida and Alaska.

Los Angeles City is the rewarding center of the United States entertainment trade. The technology and information sectors flourished during the late 20th century within the area referred to as Silicon Valley. The 20th century likewise saw the growth of the tourism sector. Aerospace, manufacturing and education are other essential sectors of California economy. The five biggest sectors offering employment within California State are utilities, trade and transportation; business, government and professional services; health and education services; and leisure and hospitality. California's major agricultural area is situated within Central Valley. The state of California produces roughly 50 percent of the fresh fruit within the US and much of the vegetables.

One-quarter of the state's economy depends on international trade. The value of exports continues to rise, from $127 billion worth of goods during the year 2006, to $134 billion in the year 2007, to $144 billion during the year 2008. The top exports are electronic and computer products, accounting for more than 40 percent of all exports of California. Agriculture is one more growth sector within the state's economy. Agriculture sales rose by a whopping 400% during the past 30 years. Nowadays California has over 80,000 ranches and farms which generate about $36.2 billion in profits annually.

California State has a somewhat diverse climate with most of California have dry summers and cool, rainy winters. Along the shoreline, summer fog is created by the cool currents. As you move more inland, the winters tend to be colder and the summer months hotter. There tends to be more rainfall in the northern regions of California as opposed to the southern. Amongst the rainiest parts are located on the mountain slopes of California State which face west, while the east sides of the mountain ranges produce a rain shadow, creating expansive deserts. Producing the hottest temperature on the continent is death valley, a low-elevation desert. Eastern California's higher elevation deserts produce cold winters and hot summers. The Central Valley has a Mediterranean weather condition but greater extremes than the shoreline. The Sierra Nevada Mountains have moderate to mild snow in the winter months and heat during the summer months.
