JLG Telehandlers California
After spending many years working with his brother to be able to establish their crane construction company into a leader of the industry, John L. Grove chose to stop working. John and his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip using their R.V. After that journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the worldwide leading manufacturer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling machinery.
In the R.V. journey, John spent a lot of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. Tragically, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During following conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a type of machinery that could quickly and safely hoist people into the air in order to carry out maintenance and construction functions.
John decided to take action after John and his wife returned from the journey. He began a partnership with two dear friends when they bought a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In the year 1970, with an initial group of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that very first machine are still being incorporated into the present equipment
Ever since John L. Grove first drove back into town from his cross-country journey, the company has come a really long way. They have dramatically grown ever since their first aerial work platform originally launched on the marketplace. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Numerous innovative machines are made to help clients be more productive and work safer.
JLG has remained devoted to being at the forefront of the industry. The company takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They strive to deliver in overall comfort and safety, as well as in performance so that the driver can be as productive as possible.
