There are dual fuel options available on the Z-80/60 model. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is quiet, but turbocharged. It allows for improved performance at higher altitudes. Moreover, it carries more than enough torque for better terrain- and grade-ability.
The full-time positive traction and 4-wheel drive ability adds improved traction for tough terrain. The Z-135/70 only offers four-wheel steering. Optional features on this unit include coordinated, crab, front wheel, and rear wheel steering to give the machinery added agility. on the Z-80/60 helps enhance wheel contact on uneven ground. All of these features make Genie Knuckle Boom lifts smoother and easier to use on uneven terrain.
Though these models are larger than other Genie engine-powered articulating Z-booms, they have features such as continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs to provide the user with incredible reach and range of motion. The Z-boom design gives the units exceptional over and up positioning capability which varies from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 model to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 model. The XChassis expanding axle is an ingeniously engineered device used for extending and retracting axles out and in of stowed position. The width of the Z-135/70 unit equipment is just 2.46 meters when the axle is stowed. The Z-80/60 has fixed width axles for easier transport.
